The New Frontier: Scaling AI from Atoms to Avatars

Friday, December 11, 2026 (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM) (PST)

Description

Join us at the Designworks studio for a panel with four CEO's who use AI to understand, create and shape the physical world. Their work spans design, mobility, XR and body tracking, drug discovery and regenerative medicine.

The conversation will look at how human and synthetic intelligence work together, how AI is changing the way we imagine and make things, and what it takes to move these tools from experiments into real use.

Topic

Our panelists will take on the practical questions of working with AI across disciplines: data scarcity, validation, regulatory hurdles, creativity, authorship and human judgment. They will also consider AI as a collaborator, one that widens what designers and technologists can do while keeping human intent and decision-making at the center.

After the discussion, guests are invited to a network with the panelists and professionals from AI, biotech, design and physical computing. A variety of non-alcoholic beverages is served alongside a selection of premium sandwiches.

Experience AI

Step into a 69-inch spatial kiosk and watch AI respond in real time. Powered by an eGPU, the kiosk can turn you into a car or a living cell. It is a playful way to see the panel’s themes in action and a tangible example of AI shaping an experience in the physical world.

Designworks will also open up its creative process. One of the studio’s world-building designers will show how the team uses AI to explore ideas, build worlds and develop new forms. Guests can then try an interactive experience that blends forms and ideas to generate unexpected results.
