Watts & Wine – EU and US Perspectives on the European Energy Crisis
Thursday, April 20, 2023 (6:00 PM - 8:30 PM) (PDT)
Description
EU and US Perspectives on the European Energy Crisis.
The war in Ukraine has led to an unprecedented change of the European energy landscape. Germany is in the center of this change. Implications of this reach well beyond the energy sector itself; they impact the social systems, the transition to more sustainable energy, economic and energy politics, and more.
At the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and for most parts of last year, the future direction of energy was very unclear. Imminent problems had to be solved - such as securing enough gas supply to come through this winter. Now, the dust has settled to a certain extend and it is time to look at and discuss the broader implications of this change for Germany, for Europe but also for the entire globe.
We have assembled a world-class panel around all these questions. If you have an interest in energy, be sure not to miss this event!
